Congratulations to all of the children who participated in the Christmas concert in the Church last night. The Christmas festivities are in full swing in Scoil Teampall Toinne as we have had the Christmas fair and the Christmas concerts over the last two Sundays. We are very appreciative of the continued support the school receives from all of the families attending our school. We hope to continue the festive fun in school over the next few weeks of school.

Students from 3rd & 4th class travelled to Cahir Park today for the FAI Futsal soccer blitz. The blitz was a wonderful experience where both boys and girls got to play a variety of teams from other schools. Our school had four teams who played today. Each of the four teams played wonderfully. The children worked very well together. Many thanks to the parents who travelled with us to the blitz. Brú Columbanus kindly posted us back a letter of thanks for your kind donations before the Midterm break. Many thanks again to all who contributed to the worthy cause.
Sincere thanks to all of the families who contributed stickers to the Aldi Play Rugby Competition. Our poster is now complete and we have submitted it for entry. Fingers crossed, ours' will be the lucky school! Today in Scoil Teampall Toinne, the children dressed up in Halloween costume in support of terrific Cork charity Bru Columbanus. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable midterm break. School re-opens on Monday November 4th. Many thanks to Tipperary player Colin English who visited our school today. Colin spoke to the children and showed them the Liam McCarthy cup and the Ladies Intermediate Mary Quinn Memorial cup. Congratulations to Keelan Williams and Shelly Ryan who won prizes in the Mitchelstown Credit Union Art competition. Keelan came 2nd place and Shelly was a runner up. We are very proud of their achievements in Scoil Teampall Toinne. They graciously accepted their fabulous prizes last night in the Credit Union. ***Reminder*** *The Liam McCarthy Cup will visit our school on Monday. They children are asked to wear blue and gold in honour of the visit. *Children are invited to dress up on Friday October 25th. All funds raised from donations will be donated to the Cork based charity Brú Columbanus. Many thanks in advance for your support. Sincere thanks to all of the families who contributed to both the Show box Appeal and the School Book Fair. Again this year over 70 shoe boxes were collected from our school to aid disadvantage children in foreign countries. The generosity and kindness shown by everyone who donated is greatly appreciated. Our Scholastic book fair was terrifically organised and coordinated by our dedicated parents council. The school are very grateful to everyone who volunteered and supported the event. The picture below shows the amazing rewards it had reaped for our school. The children of 2nd and 3rd class won the recent Tipperary Food Tour Competition. They excitedly received their prize last Friday. Each child got to experience a virtual reality tour of a number of Tipperary Food suppliers throughout the county. The children wore specialised electronic goggles which enabled them to travel and explore around the various suppliers. They also received a wonderful Tipperary Food book and work book telling the story of the K.E.L.T.S. -Kids who like to explore Tipperary.
They listened to Michael from 'Emerald Oils' speak about harvesting and producing rapeseed oil. They also sampled chocolate biscuit cake made with his rapeseed oil. Some of the children were interviewed by the camera man who accompanied the Tipperary food representative. Keep an eye on our subjects page for video footage of the day in the coming weeks. ![]() U11 Girls travelled to Ballylooby this week to play in a football blitz. They played fantastically and they placed in third place. Well done to Ms. Keating and the girls who participated. Junior and senior infants have been very busy celebrating their teddy Barney’s birthday. Barney turned 6 on September 27th. They had a wonderful time in our party corner preparing for the celebrations and giggling at our puppet show. We created super presents for Barney using all our recyclable materials. He now has a lovely, house and games amongst other things. They enjoyed singing Happy Birthday and not forgetting the taste of delicious chocolate cake. Happy Birthday Barney! They also have been learning and exploring about Autumn. They went on a lovely nature walk and used all our sense to notice the signs of Autumn. They had great fun making their own dens preparing for hibernation. They made some playdough animals and they created gorgeous leaf rubbings. Take a look at the fabulous photos on the Aistear page. 2nd and 3rd class investigated the old Boys school in their history this week. They also went on a mini beast hunt around the school grounds. Take a look at their findings and photos on the subjects’ page. The month of September has been very busy in STT. All of the children have been working very hard in their new classes. The new infants have settled into school fantastically. Take a look at the terrific photos of the Infants on our Aistear page.

Congratulations to the U12 A and B teams from the Brian Boru Camogie Club. The teams played fantastically last Saturday. Over their entire championship they worked tirelessly to succeed at every chance. Girls from the winning A and B teams visited each class this week, where they proudly showed their peers their trophies. Congratulations to the mentors parents and supporters who guided and prepared the girls throughout the championship.
